A good set up for the sherman is some armor, some speed and some attack, its a good all around tank, but if you go one way to far or another you might not be happy.

my response above is what you should use on your tank, a good balance.
As per military skills, this game is all about armor, so I would go down the 1st column of the 1st page. -------------------- KAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you want to really use the Sherman to its full effectiveness then get together with three other guys and form a squad. A Sherman with full armor is incredibly hard to kill and while you're soaking up damage running around in close quarters with the enemy your allies are shooting the crap out of them and healing you.
In general any tank is more effective in a group because then you're balancing the group not a single tank so you can have someone with high damage skills and a high damage tank focus on damage where as someone more support or armor oriented can focus on their specialty. |

Whatever you do the Shermans pretty armored as is, not really in like with the real life equivalent, maybe just add some extra armor and some attack or range boost things.
